Evolving from a postcard business into a full-service souvenir distributor is no easy feat. Over the last 25 years, under the guidance and vision of Bruce and Fawn Finchum, Smith-Southwestern has grown to one of the largest wholesale souvenir and gift distributors in the nation. Employing over 50 sales representatives across 12 states, SSI prides itself on being a full-service company from order-point to merchandising. Authorized to sell merchandise to most major chain stores across the country as well as having strong customer relationships with independently owned businesses directly contributes to the company’s success. Smith-Southwestern sells a comprehensive line of souvenirs localized to each area. Mugs, keychains, shotglasses, magnets and postcards are just a few staple items of the company’s product line. SSI also offers a full-line of premium gifts, scenic calendars, scenic books and Christmas cards. Being a direct importer allows Smith-Southwestern to bring in large quantities of inventory at a time, assuring in-stock status on favorite items from the stock merchandise line, as well as being able to supply larger customers with enough product to meet high demand. Domestic sources allow SSI to accommodate smaller product orders and have the advantage of a shorter lead-time. Using an in-house art staff of four and factory sources domestically and overseas allows the company to offer customized logo and souvenir product to businesses, theme parks, and attractions at competitive prices. Smith-Southwestern has supplied artwork and product for casino's, local schools and businesses, airport gift shops, professional race teams and more. The company office, warehouse, and showroom are located in Mesa, AZ where a support staff of over 60 employees are dedicated to quickly and accurately shipping orders to customers. The 57,000 square-foot facility is equipped with state-of-the-art software and automated pulling systems, which allow orders to be processed quickly and accurately. Smith-Southwestern’s command at observing market trends allows the company to create and produce new products by the hundreds every year. This ability has allowed SSI to aggressively expand across the Unites States while still preserving the reputation of offering the best prices, products and services that our customers know and appreciate. |
